 Celie is interested in Shug Avery. Also, Mr seems a little less of the man he tends to be when it comes to Shug. Shug Avery has kids but doesn’t tend to her kids as much as she should. The relationship between Shug and Celie seems to come more neutral than I thought it’d be. 

Celie finally meets Shug Avery and it already creates tension between the two. Shug Avery calls Celie ugly. I feel like Shug Avery feels better than Celie. Mr may feel the same way.
